TOWER HOUSE OF LAW, near Law Cottage and Edinbarnet House

Historic site of long demolished structure.  Private premises.

///marathon.oxidation.sunblock (Approximate).

Canmore tells us that 'The Tower of Law' was destroyed c.1890 and its stones used in offices beside Edinbarnet House (NS 50 74) The lands of Law were formed from the lordship of Drumry in 1528.

There has been some confusion as to exactly where this tower was. Canmore continues : A low flat-topped mound about 100m south of Law farm is said by the farmer to be the site of the tower-house of the family of Stirling of Law, dating from the 16th century or earlier. Numerous dressed stones are to be seen in nearby walls. It was somewhere within what is now the Law Farm steading area.
