ACCESS : Easy access. Right next to the Duntocher Trinity Parish Church, below Golden Hill Park.
This comprises a celtic cross with an inverted "sword of sacrifice" mounted on a plinth and set in a simple small enclosure. It is in memory to those who fell in both world wars.
The inscription reads :
PROUD AND LOVING MEMORY OF
THE MEN OF
DUNTOCHER AND HARDGATE
WHO LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES
IN THE GREAT WAR
1914 - 1918
To which has been added below :
