DOUGHNOT HILL, above the Langcraigs
ACCESS : Not difficult, but some fitness is expected. As for the Langcraigs, accessed from above Overtoun House by foot.
No, this is not a tasty pastry. And it is not Doughnut. It is Doughnot. It is a hill. A small hill on the upper muirland. It sits to the north of the Langcraigs and near the Black Linn Reservoir. Getting there is a short scramble across muirland from the reservoir. As with the latter, it is accessed by walking up from Overtoun House carpark. The WalkHighlands website is very useful in clarifying this.
There are nice views back over the Vale, northwards towards Ben Lomond and eastwards in the direction of the Whangie.
