  • Dywedodd y Cyng. Pat Thomas bod BMW wedi parco ar y sgwâr a’i fod yn ymharu ar allu tirgolion i barcio pan fo digwyddiadau ymlaen yn y Capel. Dywedodd y Cyng. Hazel Evans, os ydyw ar dir y Cyngor, mae angen rhoi arwydd ‘dim parcio’ yno.Dywedodd Jeff Kedward PCSO nad oes gennynt bwerau i’w symud.
  • Dywedodd Jeff Kedward PCSO bod Cyfarfod Cyngor Llandyfyriog bod pryder ynghylch y coed sydd wedi gordyfu dros yr heol yn mynd mewn i Genarth a’u bod wedi gwneud hawliad i Gyngor Sir Gaerfyrddin.
  • Dywedodd y Cyng. Jeff Kedward fod twf mewn lladrata yn ardal CNE a Llandysul a’u cyngor yw i gloi eu heiddo. Dywedodd bod llawer o ‘power tools’ yn cael eu dwyn. Ategodd y gall yr Adran Atal Trosedd ddod allan i gynghori ar sut i ddiogelu eiddo a lleihau’r risg. Dywedodd bod 2 le yn CNE wedi’u targedu yn yr un noson a 3 lle yn Llandysul yn yr un noson. Dywedodd mai’r cyngor pennaf yw i gael golau y tu allan i’ch tai yn enwedig gan fod golau stryd yn diffodd am 1.30yb.

C. Gofynnodd y Cyng. Don Griffiths os oes gobaith torri cloddiau yn y ‘junctions’ gan bod ardaloedd fel Llain yn wael iawn. Dywedodd y Cyng. Hazel Evans bod y Cyngor Sir i fod dechrau ar y 1af o Fehefin.

Cenarth Community Council Meeting

Minutes of the meeting held at the Center, Capel Iwan on Thursday, 6th of June 2024 at 7pm.

1. PRESENT: In the Chair -Cllr. Hywel Bowen, Cynghorwyr: Don Griffiths, Cyng. Hazel Evans, Pat Thomas, William Davies, Meurig Thomas, Cyng. Ken Howell, Leah Jones PCSO, Jeff Kedward PCSO and Philip Gibbons. Clerk - Manon Thomas.

2. APOLOGIES: Nigel Williams, Helen Williams, Richard James, Anthony John.

3. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST: None

4. POLICE:

• Cllr. Pat Thomas stated that a BMW has been parked on the square for a long period of time and it was disturbing the parking abilities of people using the Chapel. Cllr. Hazel Evans stated that if it is parked on the Council’s land then the Council should put up ‘no parking’ signs. Jeff Kedward PCSO stated that they didn’t have any powers to move the car.

• Jeff Kedward PCSO stated that Llandyfyriog Council’s meeting had raised concerns regarding the trees that have overgrown over the road on the way in to Cenarth and that they had made a claim to Carmarthenshire County Council.

• Jeff Kedward PCSO also stated that there had been a spike in burglaries in NCE and Llandysul and that they are advising people on how to lock their sheds and property as there are lots of power tools being stolen. He stated that if you have any in sheds, lock them up. Furthermore he stated that the Crime Prevention unit can come out to advise on how to reduce the risk. He added that there had been burglaries in 2 places in NCE on the same nights then 3 in Llandysul one night. He added that the police are advising people to have lighting outside houses especially as streetlights now turn off at 1:30am.

5. MINUTES: Minutes for the May 2024 meeting were proposed by Cllr. Pat Thomas and Seconded by Cllr. Meurig Thomas.

6. MATTERS ARISING FOR MINUTES:

A. 6.B-1 / JUL - Defibrillator - The Clerk stated that she had contacted St Johns and they had sent a list of potential dates and she was still waiting to hear back from them. She stated that she had chased them several times. Cllr. Pat Thomas stated that someone was coming out to the Catholic Church Hall before long. Cllr. Don Griffiths asked whether the fire brigade could offer a session and it was suggested that the Clerk should contact them. Cllr. Pat Thomas stated that Meirion Edwards from the fire brigade was great.

B. 10.F-12/MAY - Road between Tŷ Cerrig and Brohedydd - No update.

C. 10.A-4/NOV - Penrheol Isaf Road to Derlwyn - No update.

D. 10.A-1/JUN - Pothole on Hendy turning -No update.

E. 10.A-2/NOV - Cenarth Interpretation Panels - Cllr. Hazel Evans and the Chairman stated that they looked good. Cllr. Hazel Evans showed a picture to the councillors and stated that Cenarth Community Council’s name was on them to recognise their contribution

F. 10.A-11/JAN - Panteg Salt Box - Cllr. Pat Thomas stated that this hasn’t been replaced yet.

G. 10.B-11/JAN - Clawddcoch Gutters- No update.

H. 10.A-1/FEB - Water on Bryngolau turn - No update but it was stated that it hadn’t rained that much but when it does, there is no place for the rain to go.

I. 10.B-1/FEB - Maesgwyn Tree - The Clerk stated that she had chased Paul Toft stating that this was urgent especially as there is potted sports being held on the field on the 14th of June. The Chairman stated that tape has been place around the dangerous area.

J. 10.C-1/MAR - Pothole near Perth y Gwenyn - Cllr. Pat Thomas stated that this had been done but another one has formed since but the Council had been out today to put tarmac down there.

K. 10.A-4/APR - Road Passing Bryn - No update.

L. 10.A-9/MAY - Road Passing Blaenpant - Cllr. Meurig Thomas stated that these potholes had been filled. He also stated that it was dangerous as there is roadside errosion going towards Bryngolau.

M. 10.B-9/MAY - Tarmac at back of the Hall - It was stated that chippings would need to be put down here and it needed to be bigger in size. It was agreed that this should be discussed once the trees have been cut.

N. 10.E-9/MAY - Heol o Gwm Morgan i Glyncoch - Cllr. Philip Gibbons stated that nothing has been done here.

O. 10.F-9/MAY - Potholes near Porthyrhyd - Cllr. William Davies stated that the largest potholes have been filled.

P. 10.I-9/MAY - Flatwood Visit - Cllr. Hazel Evans stated that she and Cllr. Ken Howell have visited the site. The Chairman stated that it is becoming more obvious now as the trees have been cut to make furniture and apparently they are being sold in London for as much as £2,700. Cllr. Hazel Evans stated that they need to chase to see their accounts annually.

10. MATTERS NEEDING DISCUSSION

A. Cllr. Don Griffiths stated that the around Cenetaph in Cenarth needs strimming. Clerk to contact SO Gardening.

B. The Chairman stated that the ‘Manhole’ outside of Tŷ Tê Cenarth becomes loose when a car drives over it.

C. Cllr. Don Griffiths asked whether it was possible to trim the hedges in the junctions as areas such as Llain was very bad. Cllr. Hazel Evans stated that the County Council was meant to start on the 1st of June.

11. COUNCILLORS’ COMMENTS -

D. Cllr. Hazel Evans stated that the Defibrilator sign has come to Cwm Morgan.

E. Cllr. Pat Thomas stated that potted sports is being held on the 14th of June outside the hall.

12. NEXT MEETING - The next meeting will be held on the 11th of July. The meeting was closed at 7.45pm.
