Mackintosh (Kinchyle)

James Mackintosh, residing at Kinchyle near Tomatin, was a merchant whose estate was sequestrated in 1817 [London Gazette]. He was the brother-in-law of Lachlan and William McBean, both prominent in Demerara. His son Lachlan Macintosh (1802-35) was in Demera in 1820, acting for his uncle William McBean, became a merchant in Georgetown, and died on 3 March 1835 [Inverness Courier - Wednesday 29 April 1835].
