Donald Macleod (Ebost, Skye)

Donald Macelod was the son of Kenneth Macleod (of Swordale and afterwards of Ebost). In a history of Skye published in 1871 he was descrobed as a planter in Demerara ‘who distinguished himself in suppressing an insurrection of blacks there’ [Alexander Cameron, The History and Traditions of the Isle of Skye (Inverness, 1871), p127].
