Walker

Rev Alexander Walker (1779-1847) was minister of Old Machar (Aberbdeen) from 1805-11, and then of Urquhart (Moray) from 1811-25, and finally of Elgin from 1825-41. He married Elizabeth Grant from Kincadine O'Neill. Two of their sons, William (1809-45) and James (1814-42), died in Berbice.

In 1841 both lived at Cotton Tree on the West Coast of Berbice, William a planter and James Fife an attorney-at-law
