Simon Fraser (Balloan)
Simon Fraser, eldest son of Donald Fraser of Balloan, settled on the Golden Fleece plantation in Berbice and died in Berbice 15 September 1803 [Dundee, Perth and Cupar Advertiser cited by David Dobson in Scots in South America].
Simon had brothers Archibald, a writer (lawyer) in Edinburgh who died in 1835; Malcom, a merchant in Jamaica; and Alexander, resident in Carlisle in 1835.
