John Hubbard (Boston)
John Hubbard [1765-1836] was a Boston merchant who owned plantation Mainstay in Demerara, and received compensation for 338 enslaved at emancipation. His sister Elizabeth married Gardiner Greene.
In the late 1790s he was in partnership with James Fraser of Pitcalzean (Ross-shire), trading as Fraser, Hubbard & Company [Cases decided in the House of lords, on appeal from the courts of Scotland].
