Highland Scots - unknown location

Some individuals, from their names and association with other Highland Scots, can, with a high degree of probability, be identified as originating from the Scottish Highlands, although their precise place of origin is not clear.

In addition to those in the sub-pages, there are those born in Guyana and resident in the Highlands who are identified in the census returns from 1851 (the 1841 census does not provide this detail):
