Mackenzie (Pitlundy)
Alexander Mackenzie [1783-1802] was the second son of George Mackenzie of Pitlundy, on the Black Isle, who was sheriff-substitute of Ross for over 30 years. Alexander died in Demerara on 15 February 1802, aged 18 [Edinburgh Magazine, 1802] He had come to Demerara two years earlier [NAS GD46/17/21 23 Apr 1802 Peter Fairbairn to Lord Seaforth from Kingston, Demerara].
