Judges, judging and being judged.

The Judge's Descision is Final

Finding judges willing to give up their day to judge each of our winter's trial is no easy task. We are very grateful to all who have sacrificed their turn to run to give their time, experience and attention to our dogs and our performance. By entering, we are accepting their assessment. By accepting our invitation to judge he/she is (page 19 rule for trials ISDS) 'held to have...given an undertaking that he will judge strictly according to the rules laid down by the Society, and will not favour any dog, man or country' Even if they feel confident they know them, especially if they judge infrequently, it's worth actually checking trial rules before judging.

That being said, 'Page 21, ZC.(Rules for Trials, 2008)

Competitors or their agents are prohibited from approaching a judge to seek to discuss or influence the award of points. Such an approach is gross misconduct and will render them liable to investigation'
