Nursery Results 16/17

Ryedale lost two distinguished older members this year, Danny Thompson and Mary Heaton. We held minutes silence at the start of the Presentation Pie n Pea supper, to remember them, and the contribution they made to our society for so long.

A better first half to our winter Nurseries , a wet and disopointing second half, with several trials lost to the weather. We had a good team in the Nursery Finals, again the weather was unpleasent but the trial sounded good fun. It's been a good season over all, so heart felt thanks to those putting on trials, letting out sheep, helping clear the course at the end, judging and providing venues. Without these people, there would be no trials for us to come and run our dogs.

Sandwiched between two open trials 18th/19 of March (won by J Atkinson and Wisk, then by B Bell and Hutch - good luck at the World trials, Brian - ) a very well attended presentation evening. Grateful thanks to those who supported this.

Well done to A Wharton and Jed, enthusiasm and regular attendance pays off!

Some very good running, in a wonderful setting, with strong lambs who were very good on the course but could be, early on, hard to lift.
