AGM time is approaching

Meeting from  7.30 at the Bean Sheaf on the A169 between Pickering and Malton Wednesday the 17th of September.

Your views are sought on all the issues raised below.

 1        Apologies for Absence

 2       Chairman’s Report

 3       Secretary’s Report

 4       Treasurer’s  Report

  5       Election of Officers

  6       Open Double gather Trial

7       Fred Jones trophy to David Bristow and Parksfarm Bella

8      It has been suggested that we might invite the hosts/sheep owners who don’t trial to dinner at the presentation night, opens in the autumn, nurseries in the spring, at the RSDS’s expense, and perhaps include people who don’t run but have gone out of their way to help let out or put up a course.

9     Decide on a date and venue for the Presentation Dinner.

10    It seems wrong to take the filling of our winter trial fixture list for granted as people’s lives and other commitments change. Please help the accurate preparation of the Nursery calendar by letting the secretary know your preferred dates by the AGM if you are  able and willing to put on a trial.  Those left vacant will be filled if possible as the time comes. We are grateful to the many hosts who put trials on, and hope you will continue to do so.

11    Perhaps we could update the trials eligible for the Derek Robinson Trophy.

12     Welcome the new trophy in honour of Jack Hollows, presented by his family, for the best overall dog in the three Show trials   (Malton, Ryedale and Thornton Dale) that Jack managed for so many years.

13     Booking in before a certain time for those with more than one dog is up for review again. It does appear to have improved the attendance early on, but do  we have potential runners with two dogs who would appreciate a little more time to enter their first dog?

 14    Matters Arising

If you have proposals you would like to hear discussed that are not mentioned above, please let the secretary know for ‘Matters Arising’
