Katherine Jenkins thrilled a large audience - many of them drawn from Neath - in an open air performance in Swansea on Sunday night, 27th July. Backed up by the National Symphony Orchestra and Boys Aloud, the local mezzo-soprano said she was thrilled to be back at Singleton Park for the first time in eight years since she'd last performed there at Proms in the Park. Katherine ended the night's entertainment by reprising that Proms concert finale. The audience joined lustily with Katherine - by then clad in a Welsh flag - in singing Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory which brought to a close a thoroughly entertaining evening.
