Surprise News at Gardens

Victoria Gardens Organiser Resigns

Sarah Maybery-Thomas, the Audience Development Officer at the Victoria Gardens, resigned from her post at the end of last week (25th July). News of Sarah's leaving was greeted with dismay by those who knew of her work in Neath's town centre park. It is understood that funding for her short-term contract extends until the end of next year. Sarah's personal and organisational skills have resulted in many crowdpleasing activities taking place in the revamped Victoria Gardens and its new community building. Neath Guardian Online has been privileged to cover many of the events held here and noted how Sarah's enthusiasm and dedication has drawn growing numbers to a range of attractions in the heart of the town. These have encompassed activities which ranged from learning Latin, practising craft skills and a range of exhibitions and bandstand musical performances to suit a variety of tastes. Neath Guardian Online wishes Sarah well and thanks her for the many good things she has achieved at the Victoria Gardens.
