Matthew Davies takes on all

Matthew Davies of Tonna, one of the finest chess players ever to come from Neath, takes on all-comers from Castell Nedd Chess Club at their new home, Tonna Rugby Club.  He defeated everyone except for the club's number 3, Steve Smith, who succeeded in beating the maestro.

The chess club will continue to meet throughout the summer, every Tuesday evening at Tonna Rugby Club.  Players of all ages and abilities are welcome to visit without obligation.
