Haunted Neath - Ghost Walk

Ghost walk with Robert King - Neath Historian

Produced by Mike Davies

Robert King, local author and historian.  Haunted Neath" is available from Amazon and all good book sellers

Yet another interesting ghost walk through Neath town centre with Robert King.  We commenced from Victoria Gardens and made our way to “The old gas tram station” now “Town Tyres”

A very interesting tale there, it opened in 1897 and closed in 1920.  The trams ran from Villiers Street in Briton Ferry to the White Gates in Skewen.  They were powered from town gas produced at Neath's gas works.   The gas containers were changed at the tram station.

From there we stopped in Queen Street with more interesting tales.

Also the Castle Hotel, which apparently is the most haunted building in town, our tour then took us along the old town hall and concluded into Old Market Street where we heard ghostly tales of the "Captain" who haunts  The Duke Of Wellington public house.
