I am the volunteer manager at South Wales based charity BulliesOut. The charity is run by Linda James M.B.E who set up the charity after having personal experience dealing with bullying in schools. As a charity our main aim is; to raise awareness of bullying and the issues which surround this, to educate people about the causes and effects of bullying and to provide support to those who have experienced and are experiencing bullying. We run several schemes which allow young people to be able to make a difference, these include : Peer2Peer mentoring, young ambassadors and playground pals.

 

On the 7th of June at Cardiff football stadium we are holding the Pride Awards, this is to give back to the young people who have worked so hard towards their accreditations through one of our schemes. The ceremony gives the young people involved a chance to get dressed up and be made to feel special for the great achievements they have earned.
