Resolven photographer's new book
The third book in the “Reflections of a Bygone Century” was launched by Glyn Davies on the 12th October 2103 in Resolven’s Church Hall. This book focuses on Resolven and District, containing 347 photographs, with the earliest photographs going back to 1892. The book provides a chronicle of events and changes around the commercial, industrial, transportation, communications and social activities.
Peter Hain, MP, attended the launch, and can be seen in the above photograph with the author, Glyn Davies and his wife, Mairwen. Peter Hain described the book as “This is real treasure-trove of Resolven old and young by the village’s best photographer”.
The book is on sale for £20 and can be purchased from Dolly Bach’s Florist in Resolven or directly from the author, by contacting him on 01639 721328.
Glyn Davies was proud to be a winner at the recent Marrow and Pumpkin Show at the Whittington Arms at Tonna and is pictured above with his winning entry - photo by Mike Davies.
