Diabetes UK - New page added to menu

Diabetes - it could happen to anyone.  The more people know about diabetes the better.  We have therefore added a new page to our menu.

The little girl pictured here has had diabetes from the age of five - she will have to have daily injections for the rest of her life in order to stay alive.

No one knows the cause of type 1 diabetes - that's the type where the person needs daily insulin injections.

Type 2 is often age related and can be usually controlled by diet or tablets - sometime a combination of both.   Read more about it on our new page at the bottom of our menu.
