Where is our Summer gone?

One thing we can't control is the weather.   The entertainment with Ali Delgado (right) never came off as a result on the weather last Saturday.   However, with great determination our photographer, Mike Davies, went along with his fingers crossed.

Mike writes: "I arrived at 12 noon and sat around while the bitterly cold made me think where has the Summer gone?    The weather was so different last Bank Holiday Monday.

It seemed a little strange, just two gardeners and me.  We went into the building, there was no one there but the heating was on so I stayed a while.  On my way out the two gardeners came on to me and told me the concert with Ali Delgado was cancelled due to the bad weather, so I took a few shots of the gardens (including the one above with not a soul about)  and then went for a boat ride on the canal barge to Tonna lock, I took a video along the way -so I can put that together for another week,  so all was not lost during my day out."
