Council consider the herons
My thanks to the Evening Post and the Neath Guardian website for their efforts in publishing the photographs and story of the tree felling at Craig Gwladus wood at Clilfrew Neath and in particular the herons nests,
This has provided the necessary evidence, and has effectively changed the councils mind, as the council has now decided to leave the herons nesting trees remain for at least this season, here (below) is an adult Heron spotted visiting the nests before the breeding starts, as the January weather has been so mild, others will soon visit, and once again settle for another wonderful breeding season.
On behalf of all the community concerned in Cilfrew we thank the media for a wonderful outcome on the situation.
