Andrew will resume his column very shortly.

Road improvement work suspended during Christmas

THE £1m refurbishment of the Neath Southern Link Road will be suspended over the festive period.

As part of the £1m of the A474 Neath Southern Link road, funded by the Local Government Borrowing initiative, the road has been resurfaced and street lights and safety barriers have been replaced.

Work will be suspended from Tuesday, December 11, and two lanes in each direction will be open to traffic to  avoid disruption for commuters and  assist local trade and businesses  during  the Christmas period.

Work will restart on the January 7th for 3 weeks to complete additional work that has been identified during the course of the scheme.

The show was held at the Princess Theatre at Aberavon on the first weekend in December.
The theatre was packed to capacity and was a great success.   Below are some photos taken live during the show.
