Keith Reed Joins Team

Historian Keith Reed is sure add some exciting contributions to our website.   He starts by writing three items in BOOK OGGLE (see menu), which is edited by Lindsey Wallace who loves adding colour on the pages she edits.   Lindsey says she works with materials and therefore very much aware of the effects of colours.  We hope you will agree.

Keith's work is planned to appear on the Heritage Scene website where it will remain as a work of reference.

Mayor to meet High Sheriff

Next Thursday (1st November) Cllr Mayor Martyn Peters will meet the High Sheriff of West Glamorgan for the official launch of the ATN Neighbourhood Watch Association website.

You can view this website now - its listed in our menu.  The Association was formed to co-ordinate all the neighbourhood watches in the Neath Port Talbot area.

Councillor of the week

At last we can justifiably nominate a councillor of the week. A councillor with a website and one who gives feedback to residents.  A councillor that never mentions a political party but puts residents first.

We won't mention the name here - but simply ask you to guess who it is?  Also, we ask readers if they can nominate anyone else who is more  fitting for an award - with reasons to back up the claim.

Gary Pickford-Hopkins

We may have said before, but we say it again.  More readers have written in about this artiste than any of the other artistes mentioned on: neathhastalent.tk including names like Katherine Jenkins and Max Boyce.  We give as much news as we can without going into personal details.   Maybe Gary will drop us a line one day?

Nursing home to be demolished

It is very said to hear of a nursing home demolished for 22 houses.  We show an aerial view of the location which has serious traffic problem at peak times.   Its all part of the LDP for Neath.
