Messing About On The River

It was "ahoy there, me hearties!" for some 23 members, partners and guests on Sunday 3rd of July  for a watery outing from Newburgh to Perth and back on the good ship, Maid of the Tay. Organised and captained by Dennis Beattie, the trip marked the end of another Rotary year. It was followed by an onshore barbecue, sumptuous enough to warm the cockles of any seafarer's (or landlubber's!) heart. A collection, taken amongst the jolly crowd as they sunned themselves, raised £380. Dennis donated this sum of money to Chimwemwe, a charity for homeless boys in Malawi, which the club supports. Thanks were given to Dennis and Bronwen Beattie for their generous hospitality.
