On a mercifully dry afternoon, 28 Rotarians and partners gathered at the house of Chris & Charles Dickinson.

After a restful period during which wine was drunk, the games started! Divided into two teams (red and blue)headed by Peter Whyte and James Storrar respectively, team members were asked to challenge members of the opposing team in one of the disciplines on offer. These were : Putting, Boules, Quoits, Tower of Blocks, Connect4, Noughts and Crosses, Darts, Dominoes and Snakes and Ladders.

A close contest ensued, interrupted only by a break for food as Scones and Shortbread, Strawberries and Pavlova were on offer. The result was in doubt until the final game of Connect4 where Sandy Green triumphed to the delight of the rest of the blue team.
A total of 280 pounds was raised for CHAS.
