Goan Student Support
In 2004 the club decided to support the work of theEl Shaddai "Street Child Rescue" Trust. This followed a visit to the club in August of that year from the Trust'sFounder, Anita Edgar. She very much impressed us with her passion for the project and the results she was achieving.
Since then we have been committed to the continuing financial support for one of the Trust's young students; James Killedar who is cared for in the Victory House of the El Shaddia House in Mapusa Goa, India. Now in 2008 and in our 5th year of support, James has developed intoa lively 14 year old.
The club receives regular updates of James's progress in school, and also letters from James himself. Club members are encouraged to correspond with James, which as the El Shaddaii staff stress is as important as any financial support received.You can find out more about the work of the El Shaddai Trust at
