THE RUDHEATH CLUB CUP
Played each year by members of Rudheath BC
1913
The Cup is inscribed:
The Rudheath Bowling Club
Challenge Cup 1913
Northwich Guardian, Friday 3rd October.
The Rudheath bowling club can claim to be a happy band of bowlers, possessing many little advantages over most clubs, but previous to this season were not in possession of a championship cup to be played for annually under the style of a club championship. Assisted by a few friends, Mr H Kirkham the honourable secretary was successful in obtaining the necessary trophy this season and great interest has been centred around the games from the first to the final rounds.
The trophy seems to have placed a cast on the leading lights of the Heathen team, for one by one they fell at the hands of the second team players, who by the way were given a three start, which was a good handicap. When the 5th round was reached only Tom Hancock and Harry Garner had survived. This however proved their last, Hancock losing to the eventual winner and Garner losing to L. Wilson.
The semi finals and final were played on Saturday, and although the league team were away at Over Rec, a good number visited the green. In the semi final T.Pratt defeated W. Cragg 21-10 and W. Heald won from L. Wilson after a very keen game 21-18.
Pratt and Heald were equally fancied for the final, with a slight lean towards Pratt who seemed to be more at home. Pratt led 8-3 and was never caught going away 15-10, 16-11 to win in an easy fashion 21-12.

The second pair were Harry Garner and J. Coglan, the latter also receiving 2 points, Garner winning 26-14.
