Comberbach pair Stuart Kellett and Dave Thurwell fought off a determined challenge to take the Norley pairs final. The duo beat Wharton Cons double act Stewart Bailey and Alan Hough 21-20 in a close game at the Slow & Easy on Saturday.
they share a cash pot of £100 with the runners up receiving £25 each.

Winsford tandem Thomas Vickers and Jamie Harrop were winners in Saturdays final at the Hazel Pear. The Wharton Cons duo proved too strong for Delamere's Mark Winnington and Martin Lloyd running out comfortable winners on the Acton Bridge green.

Northwich Guardian, Wednesday 3rd September.
Rudheath tandem Glyn walton and Dave Stanley emerged as victors at the Norley and district leagues Pairs final night at Moulton RBL.
They defeated Graham Spruce and Terry Bebbington of Wharton Cons, by 21-11 in the final.
Another duo from Tin Mission, Andrew Houghton and Alan Vickers, had been their victims in the last eight. Walton and Stanley then saw off Middlewich RBL's Paul Farrington and Ron Latham in the semi finals.
