la leggenda dice che il primo club calcitistico di Cork, il Fordson, giocasse in un campo con il recinto verde e biaco. Da quel momento il verde ed il bianco sono diventati i colori delle squadre di Cork / green and white were the colours of the fence of the pitch where played the first football team in Cork, Fordson. So green and white are the colours of the football teams of Cork.

DROGHEDA UNITED FC 1919 / AMARANCO-CELESTE / CLARET SKY BLUE

i colori originari erano rosso e nero, negli anni 60 il club venne rifondato ed il segretario, un tifoso del West Ham, decise di adottare i colori attuali che sono quelli della squadra per la quale tifava / Drogheda United's colours used to be red and black. When the club was reformed in the 60's, the chairman was a West Ham fan so the colours changed to Claret and Blue
