il TNS è nato nel 2003 dalla fusione tra Llansanfraid e Oswestry Town. Il verde della prima divisa è il colore originario del Llansanfraid, mentre il blu originario dell'Oswestry Town è il colore della seconda maglia. Il nuovo club ha adottato la maglia a strisce orizzontali per motivi estetici nella speranza di attirare i tifosi / TNS. was formed when Llansanfraid and Oswestry Town merged in 2003.  Green is the originally colour of Llansanfraid and blue, the colour of away strip, is the originally colour of  Oswestry Town. The club introduced the green and white hoops to give the kit a wider appeal to local fan base

il club all'inizio vestiva una divisa blu fino, nel 1939 venne scelto il colore rosso in onore di Ted Robins, segratario del club. In inglese robin significa pettirosso, l'uccello dalle piume rosse / Wrexham used to wear blue until 1939, the club changed to red as a mark of respect to a guy called Ted Robins who was club secretary at the time. (The robin has a red breast etc.)
