Also known as the modern Oude,

Was once the capital Ikshwaku.

Later it became the capital where Rama ruled.

The exact site has never been found.

And proclaimed: ‘Ayudhya is in Nepal,’

Much to the consternation

Of the asuras and demons of Hinduvat,

The Himalayan border between China and India

Runs through the Galwan Valley.

India still has no clear borderline with China.

There were always allies to be found

Among the native, ethnic peoples

Of this vast subcontinent.

Mercinary soldiers recruited from the Sikhs,

Rajputs, Marathas, Madrasis and Gorkhas.

A formidable army of diverse origins,

Commanded by British officers.

When the Brits Quit India,

India’s brown sahibs took over.

The Hinduvat politicians have instrumentalised

The armed forces for political purposes.

Let the Hinduvat followers and brown-shirts

Fight their own war against China,

Without Sikhs, Gurkhas, Madrasis, Marathis,

Mumaon and Rajput regiments.

What has Modi done

For these ethnic peoples in the past?

He and the Congress did nothing

To improve their socio-economic status.

And these people have paid their taxes in blood

As soldiers of India.

Modi and his Hinduvat followers have Hinduvat dreams,

Dreams of a state only for the Hindus.

They’ve put an end to diversity,

Democracy and secularism.

Alas, this is regression.

Quo vadis modern India?
