Oh I want to be ready to meet Jesus, He's the bright, and morning star, Oh I want to hear Him say, welcome home My child, Oh I want to be ready when He comes! Oh I want to be ready to hear the trumpet sound, to be taken with the saints of God, and hear Him say well done. Oh to be ready for the day of His return, Oh to know that I did everything to spread the Word, that Jesus is the One, Oh, to see the joy, of our precious, Lord and King, to stand around the throne, singing praises to His name! Hallelujah, Praise the Lord, Hallelujah, rejoice in this day, for we know not when His return, oh the joy of the Lord, is our strength, Oh to behold Him, is such a glorious thing, for He is our food, and He is our drink. Oh, I want to be ready for Jesus, no more sorrow, no more tears, no more worries, no more fears, when Jesus comes to get us, Yes, when Jesus comes to get us, I want to be ready, Oh so ready for His glorious return!
