Jesus was teaching in Capernaum about being the Bread of Life some listened and believed, and some said it was too hard for them, and they believed not, and some of his disciples turned away and walked no more with Him. When Jesus knew in Himself that his disciples murmured at it, He said unto them, Doth this offend you? And He went on to say What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up; where He was before? It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing; the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. But that are some of you that believe not. John 6:63. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. Jesus then asked: Will ye also go away? Verse 68: Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. Verse 69: And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.Every day we have the choice to believe God's Word, or the enemy's, or believe what our flesh tells us. We have the choice to either turn away or believe and follow and obey Jesus. Choose the Bread of Life, choose life instead, it's why He came that we would have life, and life more abundantly. As I was reading this this morning the Lord reminded me of a beautiful hymn we sang in church as a little girl I remember belting this song out at the top of my lungs.
