Only for a moment will it be, till Jesus comes to get His children,
Only for a moment will we sleep, till the trumpet sounds, and we will be risen,
Shouts of acclamation, tears of joy, when we see our blessed Savior, in the clouds,
Oh what a joyous reunion, oh just to see His face, with angels all around!

Only for a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,
The gathering, the meeting, in the sky,
Heaven is waiting, saints of old, anticipating,
Oh the glory of His splendor will take our breath away,
For a moment in time, He's coming, rejoice, for your
redemption draweth nigh!

Even as we watch and pray, the Father only knows, when He will say,
Son, go get My children, and bring them home, bring them home, oh
My joy will be at My throne, at the great marriage supper, Oh My
children, for a moment, you will be coming home!
