You chose to come as God in the flesh, You chose to give us mercy and rest, You chose to take upon the sins of mankind, You chose to love us, when nothing good, in us to find. You gave us the choice to love You, and obey, You gave us the ability to love others and pray, You gave us life, when we deserved darkness, You gave us grace, when we sought Your face. But You didn't falter in Your love, you never changed, Always the same, today and yesterday, You never walked away from the cross, You never left us in our wicked ways, You never left Your call to fulfill, the Father's heart, You never left us, without a choice from our heart's, Your love is unfailing, ever compassionate, ever merciful, ever abiding love, You chose to love us, when nothing good in us to find.
