On that hill of golgotha, crowds jeered, and mocked His name, cursing, and denying, the Son of God, but compassion looked down, and blood fell to the ground, "Father forgive them, for they know not, what they've done".

Ever so grateful to You, Oh God, for sending Your Son to die for me, love fell upon us, mercy, and grace, shed blood, to wash me clean, salvation paid.

Beaten, and bruised for my iniquities, marred for my sins, He bore, the Lamb of God, slain, for the sins, of this world, now He's risen, and His glory is unfurled.

I am ever so grateful, when I think of that day, my Lord and Savior, for without Your sacrifice, I would be forever lost, I am ever so thankful, my King.
