My Father's Big Umbrella

by Caroline Allen - 14:34 on 28 December 2007

My Father's Big Umbrella

I'm hiding under umbrella's, splashing in puddles, feeling the rain splash all around my feet, seeping up between my toes, I'm hiding under the shadow of His wings, lifting my voice, to praise Him, and sing, sing of His goodness, and mercy, and grace, singing to only Him, and seeking His face.

Umbrella's are great, for they shield us from the winds, and the hard driving rains, and just like Him, if caught by the wind, they seem to lift us, and carry us away, away in the spirit, away to be free, from all of life's cares, sorrows, or pain.

Children here the laughter in the rain, and they run through it with glee, and shout, and scream, today as I was thinking of how it is to be childlike, to be free of pain, to trust, with no doubts, so I think I'm gonna be like a child today, and hide under my Father's big unbrella, of love, and mercy, and grace, and learn to run through puddles, and laugh, and shout, and sing!
