Walking along the Emmaus Road, the desciples were, one day, and a man, appeared beside them,
overheard, their sorrows, on the way, and He asked what troubled them, and they said have
you not heard, they crucified our Lord, and He died, and rose the third day, but no one
knows of His whereabouts this very day.
They walked a little further and He said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart, to believe,
all that the prophets have spoken, ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to
enter into His glory? and He spoke from beginning of Moses and all the prophets, thereof,
concerning all things of Himself, and they wondered in their hearts, of who was with them,
in this distress, this time of need.
He made like He would walk on without them, but they constrained Him, abide with us, and as they sat down to eat, and He took bread, and blessed it, and gave to them, their very eyes were opened,
and they knew Him, and He vanished from their sight, and they said to one another, Did not our hearts burn within us, while He talked with us on the way, while He opened our spirits to hear, the Scriptures that were foretold, this very day?
Does the scriptures burn within your heart, to make sure everyone has heard, do you talk of them with your children, your neighbor, who may not have heard, Do you hunger for His Righteousness, His Kingdom come, Do you desire to do the things, to overcome, does a fire burn within you, to know more and more of Him, do you long to walk in all His ways, today, in every way?
