Spiritual Infidels
Yesterday I was supposed to put this message up but I didn't. The Lord brought this to my mind yesterday and I had found that story on Three Trees and liked it so much so I shared it instead. I looked up the word on crosswalk and other reference points yesterday and wondered why God had dropped that word into my spirit.
Infidel one being an unbeliever, an athiest, faithless, unbelieving. How many of us including myself can say that there are times we've held unbelief in our hearts? You know the scenerio we pray and pray and no answer comes, so we allow the fox to come in and steal the promises of God from our hearts. Song of Solomon put it this way: 2:15 Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
Our promises of God are those tender grapes and we can allow the enemy of our souls to creep in and eat those promises away if we are not careful to guard our hearts. Proverbs 4:3 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Verse 4: Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. If we are unbelieving and are speaking out words of death instead of life we are as a spiritual infidel. Proverbs 18:21 says: Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Now here is a scary thought Revelation 21:8 But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers,  whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. So are we allowing to let our hearts to depart from the faith at times, or are we standing and believing in the promises of God? This message is a hard one to write about because it affects not only myself but other's as well. How strong is our faith? Lisa Beth Jenkins Copyright 2008 All Rights Reserved
