They Said
They said He wasn't the Son of God, they said He should be crucified, they said that He was guilty of blasphemy, oh how could they see, and hear, and still deny, They said that He was just a carpenter, and what good would come out of Nazareth, they said He spoke nothing but lies, this sadness fills my soul, when I see, and love, and know, that this is my Lord, and what they said is nullified.
They said He compared Himself to God, but He was truly God in the flesh, they said that He thought Himself a King, Oh surely they could see, He reigned with true authority, they said He should wear a crown of thorns, they said He should be beaten with whips, oh how it tears me apart, to know all the pain He wore, they said He should carry His own cross, all our guilt, and shame He bore.
They said that all He did was against the law, what gave Him the right to forgive sins, they just didn't know it was Him, that the Father abided within, had they known, they would have never crucified the King of Glory, they said that the desciples moved the stone, even in seeing, He was raised from the dead, blinded they were after all He endured, but all they could go on was what they said.
