Mourning Dove, of the evening,
softly singing in the tree,
crying softly, oh so sweetly,
gentle dove, gentle breeze,
mourning dove, calling me.
Gentle, are your coos, that woo me,
calling sweetly, come to Me, sweet
melodic, asking sweetly, meet with Me,
Come and feed.
Oh, just like the gentle Savior,
sweetly singing, songs, over me,
Oh, His wooing, ever calling, My
Mourning Dove, come follow Me.
