Leave the light on, don't let it go out,
To the weary stranger, to the one filled with doubts,
For the lost, the trodden down, for the one without hope,
Leave the light on, ever burning inside, a haven of shelter,
a place to hide.

For a city set on a hill, burns ever so brightly, giving strength to fulfill,
Never letting the flame go out, carrying the light of Jesus, for all to see,
This light will draw all men unto Him, a beacon that shines, turns man from all sin.

Leave the light on, in a dark, and hurting world, Oh what a privlege, to shine so
brightly for Him, what a joy unspeakable, and full of glory, for wherever Jesus is,
be there with Him, for it's His Light, His strength, His hope, that will bring,
the souls for His Harvest, the Eternal Day Spring.
