The Cross that shadowed the hay where He layed,
The beauty and wonder of His name,
The Christ child so lovely, pure, and holy,
Oh the cross shadowed the hay.
Still they stood in wonderous awe,
Whom they had been waiting for,
They brought Him gifts, and praised
this child, in whom they adored.
The cross that forshadowed His very life,
that would bring all men unto God, this
Gift of life, forever remains, for He is
risen, and there are souls to be saved,
Oh the beauty of the cross that shadowed the hay.
