When God Speaks

When God Speaks

When God speaks He has more power than E.F. Hutton! When God speaks the Word will send chills down your arms! Today was one of those days when I got so thrilled by the Word that I read that I was like Okay God I hear You loud and clear! When God speaks you know that you know that you know His Word comes alive and jumps off the pages at you. I was reading the account of Balaam when Balaam was told by the Lord to speak to Balak. Numbers chapter 23:5 And the Lord put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak, verse 6: and he returned unto him, and lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab. Verse 7: And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come defy Israel. Verse 8: How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied? Reading further in the text Verse 11: And Balak said unto Balaam, What has thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether. Verse 12: And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the Lord hath put in my mouth?

I went on to read chapter 24 as well and then I got so blessed by this word I just wanted to get up and shout! Balaam was given a vision over Israel over the tribes of Israel and the Lord had His eyes open but he was in a trance seeing a vision for all of Israel.

How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel! As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river's side, as the trees of ling aloes which the Lord hath planted, and as cedars trees beside the waters. He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted. Balak's anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hand together:and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou has altogether blessed them these three times. Verse 11 of chapter 24 said: Therefore now flee thou to thy place; I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but lo, the Lord hath kept thee back from honour. How presumutous of Balak to think that he had any power over God to promote or demote a prophet of God. We very clearly see that God was with Balaam. Chapter 24:16 He hath said, which heard the word of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open: Verse 17: I shall see him, but not now:I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.

He was seeing a vision of our Lord Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

I was so excited when I read all of this that I can't wait until the day I see our Lord and King! Halleujah!
