Do We Respect And Fear The Lord?

In my time with the Lord this morning the Lord was speaking to me about managing my time. God never intended us to live our time apathetically just wasting away the day. Yes there are times that He gives us to rest and for refreshing. But what takes up our time that draws us away from Him, or draws us away from serving Him? We are given so much time on this earth and if we don't number our days as unto the Lord recognizing that He is the One that is soverign in our lives than we can fritter our time away. I know in times past when I have made time for Him for the day, He managed my time. When we fail to recognize and set up time for Him then our days are out of balance so to speak, or knocked out of kilter. And we find problems arising in our work place, in our homes, and in relationships. God didn't give us this time on earth to call our own but He called us to be in union with Him. Making Him Lord over everything we say and do. In God's economy a thousand years are as a day to Him.  Psalm 90:4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. Psalm 90:10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten: and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow;  for it is soon cut off and we fly away. If we don't manage our time we don't fear and respect the Lord.  When we give Him the control over our time then He is being recognized and Honored for Who He is in our lives. We are blessed to be able to live at best to be 70 or beyond. A sobering thought for me as I am going to be 53 yrs. of age this year come Feb. That's why we should ask the Lord to teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalm 90:12.  We should not plan and say oh I'm going to do this next week or that tommorrow, but Lord willing or if the Lord wills. That is letting Him know that we recognize He is in control of our days. And that we are not the ones running our life. I know that I want to let Him be in control of my life so that I may live my life as pleasing unto the Lord.
