Doing Great Exploits!
Yesterday I spoke on expecting great things from God but today I want to ask what does God expect from us?  All throughout the Bible the Lord tells us all the ones that did great exploits for Him. Another word for exploits is great deeds. In the book of Daniel chapter 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall be corrupt by flatteries; but the people that Do Know Their God shall be strong, and do exploits. We are to seize every opportunity there is that comes our way and make use of what God has given us and do great deeds for Him.  I listened to a message today about this very thing. And it is a wake up call that we all should be heeding including myself. This pastor took his congregation in the book of Matt where it talks about the wise and foolish Virgins and then to the parable of the talents. Now the wise and foolish Virgins ten of them were prepared to meet the Bridegroom which we all know is Jesus Christ, and the other ten were unprepared. And in the parable of the talents only one man hid his talent.  Our talents our opportunity to know the Lord and share Him with people abounds. We are to be about doing the Father's business in these last days. We are to be of such an urgency in our spirits to be prayed up and fasted up and read up in the Word that when the enemy comes we are standing on a solid foundation. Without our oil in our lamps we are a dim light unto this world. Without regarding how we spend our time and our talents without really knowing the Lord we might face Him on that day and that day will come where we will bow our knee and give an account of our lives, we might be standing and hearing the Lord say to us what did you do with the talent I gave you, what did you do for Me? Are we in tune with God? Do we hear Him? Do we respond and obey? I am telling you this really opened up my eyes for a number of reasons I don't want to stand before Him and have Him say to me what did you do with your life, depart from Me for I never knew you. Are we doing great things for the Lord?
