It's Not

by Caroline Allen - 05:29 on 26 October 2007

It's Not

It's not my righteousness, but His, it's not my grace, but His, it's not my works, but His, for I am nothing without Him.

How could I believe, that it was anything I could do, to be perfect for Him, How is it I believed that somehow I couldn't be, hearing from Him, when all the time He's been speaking, time and time again.

Oh this faith to believe that I am the righteousness of God, not anything I've done, but Him, Oh this faith to see that His grace covers me, and He loves me with an everlasting love.

How did it get twisted, how did it get chained, bound up in the law, of works for my pain, but Jesus did it all, and put grace for my shame, because He loved me, before the beginning of time, it's paid for, it is finished, it's done, nothing left to say, His blood paid the price for all my guilt, there's nothing to blame, but accepting His love for all, that has ever been done, this is the victory, this is the freedom, in Christ, God's only begotten Son.
