Mandates

by Caroline Allen - 15:33 on 27 September 2007

The Lord dropped this word into my spirit today...Mandates: Every time the Lord spoke He spoke a Word to follow and to be obeyed. His Word was not meant to just read, but it was meant to get down into your spirit, your heart issues, not just head knowledge, but to be lived, and obeyed.  Many people today think that because they read the Word and because they do random kindnesses, or are involved in a ministry in their church that they are spiritually okay. But God calls us to examine our heart's  In the book of Jeremiah chapter 17 verse 9 it says: The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? verse 10: I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.  So every mandate from the Lord should be followed and obeyed, for obedience is better than sacrifice. I Sam. 15:22  verse 23: For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubborness is as iniquity, and idolatry. We must guard our hearts, and we must check to see if we are lining ourselves up to the Word of God. If we hold unconfessed sin in our hearts, and we do not obey the Lord we can not expect blessings. God didn't give us His Word as a suggestion, but He gave it to guide our steps every day.

Mandates: A mandate is an authoritative command or instruction. When mandates come from God, they are not suggestions!
